The Criss-cross Lines

The criss-cross lines on my palm
Intersecting in a contentious tangle
I do not surrender; i stay calm
Let them hug one another or wrangle
Meandering through the maze
I try to loosen the knots tight
The dazzling sunlight blinding my gaze
Now I wait for moonlight bright
Juggling between hope, despair, love, and illusion
Destiny rubs shoulders with my conviction
Will it be a pleasant fusion
And bring an end to all friction?
Sawed-off lifeline may betray dreams cherished
But riveting should be the days spent
Recollection of hard times shall be long since perished
and happiness will be mine, not on rent!
