The Reflection
Naveen Kumar Kottidi
I was tumbled at the door of competition
Got up I, looked at the afflicted aim
Waiting long to be touched
Cursed not my downfall but,
Introspected the dwindled determination
Behind the discouraging meek effort
Am I really prepared enough?
Is my attitude correct?
Questions grilled the constitution
Digging deep into the crusts of brain
A fine threaded neuro-vision perplexed,
Saw none, hesitation jeered at, but
Curiosity marched ahead, digging still deeper
A tussle of the will and the evil
Like that of Pandavas and Kauravas
Found nothing but some slimy stones
The wily vice elated, enthusiasm evaporated
Though, mighty wisdom wheeled further
Picked up the muddy pebbles
Hope bathed them in transparency
Shocked I was, finding the answers
They were not petty marbles, but
Forgotten markers of success mantra
Objectivity, perseverance and consistency
Slowly dark dizzy delusion disappeared
The dawn of truth recalled the fault
Lifted morals redeemed the lost respect
Consciously cleansing the misty marvels!
